Head of Data Operations
Peter Sunwoo is a Principal at Hall Capital Partners LLC and Head of Data Operations in the firm’s Corporate Operations practice. His responsibilities include leading our efforts on data aggregation, reporting, governance, and analytics. He was previously responsible for managing the Portfolio Management Group in San Francisco and New York, overseeing all aspects of portfolio reporting, investment strategy implementation, and operations.
Mr. Sunwoo joined the firm as an Analyst in 2003 and has previously worked as an Associate and Vice President in the Portfolio Management practice in San Francisco.
Education:
University of California at Berkeley, B.A. in Political Economy of Industrial Societies
What attracted you to HCP?
The strong spirit of collaboration and the opportunity to work with intelligent, thoughtful people. HCP felt like the right pot for me to plant myself in at the start of my professional career.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Family time, music (of all genres), singing bad karaoke in private with my wife, and food (both cooking and partaking).
Little known fact(s) about me:
As a kid, my mother once enrolled me into a youth swim club team, even though I didn’t know how to swim. When you’re literally thrown into the deep end, you learn a lot about grit (and swimming) pretty quickly.
Ask me about:
Korean food
Lakers
Wong Kar Wai movies
Frivolous Amazon Prime purchases
